Marine Mechanix is my go-to source for outboard motor repair and servicing. They are so knowledgeable and do top notch work every time I have an issue I cannot figure out myself. These guys are truly the best outboard motor specialists in the Wilmington area. I’ve used other mechanics but always end up goin back to Marine Mechanix.

Marine Mechanix is a hidden gem for boat and outboard repair in the Wilmington area. I’m so glad I found this shop. Mark got my outboard issue quickly diagnosed and fixed. He is as good as they come — within minutes you feel like you’ve known these guys forever. They truly go above and beyond to make sure you leave 100% satisfied. They handle everything from outboard repair, fiberglass work, upholstery, and welding. I had their welder Jorge repair my boat trailer, and he absolutely knocked it out of the park. Very thankful to have found a trustworthy marine repair shop locally

Mark and the team at Marine Mechanix are friendly, fair, and extremely knowledgeable at what they do! I usually work on my motor myself, but I had been struggling with a fuel issue in my Yamaha outboard for months. I had already spent over $1,000 replacing most of my fuel system and visited two different mechanics with no luck. I found Marine Mechanix on Google and gave Mark a call. He told me the turnaround time was about 2–3 weeks but said I could bring the boat by anytime before 5:00 pm. I showed up around 4:30 and found Mark working on a Boston Whaler in the garage. I explained the issue again and told him everything I had tried, as well as what the other mechanics had done. Even though he was wrapping up for the day, Mark offered to take a quick look. Within 10 minutes, he diagnosed the problem and fixed it on the spot. Not only did he figure out what my previous mechanics couldn’t, but he also showed me exactly what he did and explained why. I was amazed at how simple the issue was but, myself and the other two mechanics looked it right over. Mark had the knowledge and experience to quickly diagnose the issue with no struggle. After we got the issue resolved, we chatted for a few minutes. When I asked how much I owed, Mark simply said to take the boat home, run it the next day, and if the issue was gone, come back and pay him. Now that is fair! I highly recommend anyone in the Wilmington area that needs outboard work to use Marine Mechanix.

Unmatched service. The owner took the time to not only fix my carburetor, he taught me how to fix it and maintain it. I’ve owned several outboards, and as we all know, things break. This is the first mechanic to ever put in the time to show me every step. I’ll forever be loyal to Marine Mechanix
