Listen, I’ve been parked at RecNation for a good while now, and if I’m being straight with you, the customer service has been a real headache. Most of the time you’re just wrestling with some AI on the phone that hangs up on you. Even when you finally get a human on the line, it feels like talking to a brick wall. Makes you wonder why you’re cutting 'em a check every month. But something actually went right for once. The new manager at the DFW 05 yard reached out to me. She didn’t blow smoke or make excuses just owned up to the fact that my paperwork had been gathering dust for weeks. That's a hell of a start. She told me straight up she’d only been on the job a couple of days, but she was there to actually fix the mess and back up the customers. I’ll tell you, I wasn’t exactly easy on her. I’d had it up to my neck with the runaround and I let her have it more than I probably should’ve. But she didn't get sideways with me or try to brush me off. She just kept her head down and stayed on the problem. Within an hour, she’s out there at my unit. She dealt with a pest problem I had, jumped in to help with a temporary fix even though she looked a little out of her element doing it, and she got me the real answers on my billing and insurance. All while she’s juggling other folks on the lot and treating every one of 'em with respect. You don't see that kind of hustle much anymore, especially not here. It’s the first time I’ve felt like somebody at this outfit actually gives a damn and finishes what they start. RecNation’s got a long road ahead to get their act together, but having someone like her on the ground makes a world of difference. —an old trucker
