I've rented from this storage company before, so I thought I'd go back because they were great, but I didn't realize that the company had sold their facility. This new company makes it near impossible to pay your bill. You're told your due date is a specific day, but the "system" changes those days and then you aquire late fees. When I called to ask about that they said my due date, was infact the day I was originally told, but I wouldn't be refunded the late fee. You also can't pay early, so you must make a reminder to pay the day of. The website pay portal link doesn't work, it's takes you to reviews, which this has been the case for the second month in a row. You also can't sign into any "account" to see previous payments or when your bill is due. The only way you can see your payments is when they send you a receipt after payment. They advertise unit "specials" and then they raise the amount after 2 months by $50 (my experience, not sure if that's the case for everyone). I also just tried to pay my bill via phone and they want to charge $4 even though their website isn't working... Last month this happened I was sent a pay link that my payment was late, so I had to pay an additional $25. After I waited on hold for 9 minutes today the rep I spoke with just kept trying to get off of the phone, and didn't really have any answers for me. My advice, save yourself the headache. I will be getting rid of them as soon as I can.

I've had several units here. They've raised the rates each time. One time the rate was raised to almost double. I was able to go online, rent the same exact until size, request a unit near my old one, and move all my stuff 2 units down. I got the first month free and started saving almost half of what I was paying. Of course they eventually raised the rate on that one too. But they say it's because of increased demand, yet I was able to rent the same exact size for almost half as much as what they were going to raise it to. The units themselves aren't bad, there seems to be some sketchy individuals at times, some appearing to live in their units. I say that with some hesitation because there will likely be sketchy folks at nearly any storage unit, it's just something to keep in mind. One of my units has a busted trim piece right next to what secured the unit from closing. Just a heads up to check for that.
